Who would have though Academy would put out such a nice kit. The Flanker was easy to build and gave you plenty of detail, including photoetched parts.

Testors Light Ghost Gray was the closest I could find to the Russian Gray. And I had to mix the blues. I started with Sukiou Medium Flanker Blue. I blended Testors Dark Blue in with it to the darker shades.

Testors Metalizers (Magnesium and titanium) were used on exhaust cones. Rounding out the colors were Testors Dark Green on tail feathers; Light Gray on the Wheel wells; red on the wheel well doors.

I installed the photoetch on the intake grills and in the wheel wells, but didn't use them in the cockpit. Also added were MV lenses. All in all, it was an impressive kit.
