In Their Own Words
Esci 1/72 T34 by Robert Caruso
On June 22nd 1941, the German Army embarked on
the largest campaign in history, code named
Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of Soviet Russia.
The German expected their armor to be superior to
anything that they would face. However, the Soviet
Union had secretly developed the T34, which had a
strong gun, superb mobility and thick armor. This
caught the Germans off guard and led to the
development of the heavier Tiger and Panther tanks.
This T34 has been knocked out and abandoned.
Some extra details have been added such as tow
cables.
