Cut to Fit
Throughout history, buildings have been designed to make their users feel comfortable. In recent history, architecture has become overly comfortable for human use, and is becoming detrimental to human health.
Many American today do not get enough exercise, eat very unhealthy food, do
not drink enough clean water, nor do they receive enough exposure to sunlight
and fresh air. Also, many American lead hectic lives full of stress with very little
time to relax or sleep.
The health issues that are affecting many Americans come from their everyday lifestyle choices. American spend most of their time indoors, so it is understandable that architecture affects a user's health.
Health can be significantly modified by making good choices every day. Architecture can lead towards a healthier future; good design can change a user's everyday decision, so that the user lives a healthier, more active lifestyle.
