Roy James Kelly, born March 24, 1927, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the age of 82. Mr. Kelly was a native of New Orleans, LA and lived in the Broadmoor area until hurricane Katrina. He graduated from Jesuit High School, Class of 44. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps Communications Division at the end of World War II. He then attended Loyola University. Roy, along with his brother, Jerry founded the family business, Hub Hobby Shop in 1951. Roy loved building and testing his motorized model boats. He was fascinated with and extremely successful in designing and machining. He loved his machine shop and classical music.
