Panzer's Tactics by Phil Novak

Chris Mrosko has recently published his how to do it book on armor modeling entitled "Panzer's Tactics: Painting and Weathering Military Vehicles". Overall the book has some good tips in it, but it isn't anything totally groundbreaking. The techniques are those that can be found almost anywhere and he doesn't go into much depth about how he accomplishes these techniques.

The book doesn't have anything on constructing the models, which is a serious letdown. A lot of the work in the book is overdone, with weathering that is too harsh to be realistic. Overall it is a somewhat mediocre book with techniques that are common and not that eye catching.

For example he does not show how to use the washes after you mix them. Most people that would buy this book would also need to know how to use the washes and mostly, what not to do when applying a wash. The book is really too short to explain these techniques and needed to be beefed up with more text rather then a photo gallery. It could have been better.
