Micro Trains N-Scale Cars by Phil Novak

Micro Trains freight cars are the finest that one could buy. The detail on them is spectacular, and they have many details that are not even present on HO scale cars! The paint jobs are wonderful and they are perfectly weighted so they run magnificently on your turns and mainlines.

The trucks are beautiful and the wheels run very smoothly on the rails. The engines can pull a lot of these cars without the couplers giving out. The only problem I have ever encountered with the couplers is a small piece of flash that is right on the end of the knuckle. This is intentionally put there so that longer trains do not uncouple when running on grades.

The problem that this presents is that coupling cars is very difficult without having to manually "snap" the cars together. The couplers should smoothly click together with little pressure. All you really have to do is get a magnifying glass and shave this off with an X-Acto blade. This should cause the couplers to couple correctly. With this aside, the statement "the Cadillac of N-Scale" on their boxes is completely true!
