Tamiya Acrylic Paint by Phil Novak

Tamiya Acrylic Paints comes in 28 glossy and 48 flat colors. Although a little on the thick side, I find that it sprays very well from an airbrush (thinned 60% paint to 40% thinner) and dries to look like the plastic you sprayed was molded in that color! It really does an excellent job of shrinking down around the plastic to bring out the detail.

The paint also dries quickly allowing you to paint a camouflage in very short amount of time after spraying the base coat. Hand brushing also provides good results, but while detail painting if your brush runs out of paint, the bristles will lift the paint that you just put down. Make sure you keep a fair amount of paint in the brush to prevent this.

The colors themselves are very nice indeed, containing not only the new NATO colors but also very close matches to the World War Two German and Allied armor and aircraft.
