This is an M992 FAASV Field Artillery Ammunition Supply.

The M992 is an armored ammo carrier is assigned to M109A6 Paladin 155mm batteries. Being built on
the M109 chassis, it has the same speed ,and off road mobility as the guns it supplies. It replaces the M548 ammo carrier.

The M992 has internal storage racks, and supplies an M109A6 by backing up to the gun and sending the artillery rounds via a covered conveyor belt. That way the ammo handlers and ammo aren't exposed to overhead fire. as they would be in the M548 or a truck. The M992 is issued to the US Army.
