Midwest Releases Easy Miter Box
This improvement over other typical miter boxes allows you to cut four miter angles - 45, 22 ½, 30, and 60 degrees. It accepts materials as wide as 2" and as thick as ½". Injection molded, it also features three unique CAM Clamps which hold the material being cut firmly in place. Available alone or with a Razor Saw. It also has an integral workbench lip which prevents this tool from moving when you are cutting with it.
Midwest Releases HO Cork Siding Strip
HO - Midwest products Co., Inc. has announced a new addition to their line of cork roadbed products the HO Cork Siding Strip. This three inch wide non-beveled strip makes adding a siding or a double track easy. For a Double Track-use the three inch wide strip and trim with standard cork. For a sidingdepending on the width, modelers can use the three inch wide strip, or split the cork along the prescored edge and use the two inch strip, then trim with standard cork for a realistic appearance. According to the company, the Cork Roadbed Siding Strip is constructed from the same high quality material as their other cork roadbed products, for a realistic appearance and excellent sound absorption. The HO Cork Siding Strip (#3017) measures 5 mm x 3 x 36 and retail for $2.25 per strip (six strips per box).
Midwest's new Scale Lumber Gauge is designed expressly for use with Midwest's Basswood Scale Lumber and other hobby woods, making it even easier to quickly and accurately identify and size the material while building.
