ANYONE WHO SAW THE MOVIE "The Perfect Storm" was able to experience the thrills and dangers of commercial fishing like no other movie before or since. Most of us don't know anything about this kind of fishing or the hazardous lifestyle it truly is. What a perfect time for Lindberg to reissue this classic Tuna Clipper. Whether fishing for swordfish or tuna, this beautiful model can enhance our imaginations and let us smell the salt air as we fish for the big ones.
Smooth sailing
The kit is a whopping 14 inches long when fully built and includes over 100 pieces for the Skill Level 2 builder. The hull comes in two pieces with two more for the main and upper decks. Then comes a covered bait tank at the rear and the pilothouse with portholes and a smokestack. The plastic railings are easy to install, and the topmast comes complete with a crow's nest. Two motorboats are included and 11 fishing platforms are glued to the back of the boat. Threaded rigging gives this beauty an authentic look.

Landing Ship Tank 1/245 These were the big boys. Over 1,000 LSTs were manufactured during WWII to carry troops and supplies to the many hostile shores of that era. Not as glamorous as the carriers or destroyers, LSTs were affectionately called "Large Slow Target" by navy troops due to their top speed of only 11 knots. Weighing in at a super length of 16 inches, this kit will satisfy the modeler who wants authentic detail and size. It comes complete with two LCVPs.
Landing Craft Tank 1/125 During WWII, LCT's were responsible for bringing troops, tanks, and other cargo to the hostile shores of allied beachheads throughout the Pacific and European theaters. Often unloading their precious cargo under direct fire, these workhorses gave the attacking force the means of moving forward quickly into enemy territory. Even at 1/125 scale, this impressive kit is over 12 inches long with a moveable front ramp, which can be raised or lowered.
