New Tooling Fro Athearn's 1955 F-100s
Athearn has announed new tooling for its 1955 For F-100 pikckup and panel truck. The HO-scale vehicles are completely assembled and feature rubber tires, clear window glazing, interior with separate steering wheel, and many separately applied details.
When Ford initially released the F-100, it was considered to be a vocational vehicle and was considered to be a vocational vehicle and was sparse on creature comforts. Its cheap base price, however, made it a great buy. In keeping with vocational uses for the truck, Athearn is releasing the pickup decorated for the following railroads: NYC, PRR, RI, Santa Fe, Southern and Union Pacific. The panel version is being released for Verrico Electrical, Harrison's plumbing, Midtown Applicances, Railway Express Agency, Reliable Plumbing, and Super Market.

Athearn has issued a new run of Ready To Roll flat cars with John Deere tractors. Also available is a 60-foot flat with John Deere 650H dozer, and 34-foot, 2-bay coal hoppers.
New 60-foot Trailer Train flat cars are available with two John Deere 6420 tractors. The fully assembled models feature decks painted to simulate weathered wood, RP25 profile 33-inch metal wheels, magnetically operated knuckle couplers, and are weighted for optimum performance.
For those looking for another way to expand their Trailer Train flats with John Deere equipment, the JD 650H is now available as part of the John Deere construction series. The ready-to-run 60-foot flat car features the brand new dozer load (not available separately), simulated weathered wood decks, RP25 profile 33-inch metal wheels, magnetically operated knuckle couplers, and appropriate weight.
