Faller Emerges from Bankruptcy
Model railroad structure and accessory manufacturer Gebr. Faller GmBH announced recently insolvency proceedings have been concluded and the company is out of receivership.
According to managing director Horst Niedhard, Faller was released from its 7-month insolvency April 23 by a German court. He says the response to the company's products at toy fair in Nuremberg and other shows give reason for optimism.

Atlas Shipments Delayed
In early 2009, Atlas' primary supplier for the past 15 years had financial difficulties and was acquired by another company. The new company
substantially reorganized the operation during 2009 which resulted in delayed Atlas shipments of track, accessories, freight cars and locomotives
in all three model railroad scales.
At this time, the transition is complete and Atlas shipments are nearly back to normal. Our goal with the new supplier is to be completely caught
up by mid-year and to have as normal of a year as possible by 2010 year-end.

Hobbico acquires Estes-Cox
Hobbico, based in Champaign, Ill., which owns many different radio-control and model hobby brands, such as Revell, Monogram, and Great Planes, among others, has acquired Penrose, Colo.- based Estes-Cox, storied maker of flying model rockets.
Founded in 1958 by Vern Estes, Estes bought out Cox, known for miniature glow airplane engines, in 1996. Other brands that come to Hobbico from the Estes-Cox purchase include Hi-Flier kites and R/C names, Pica Products and Sterling Models.
