Hobby Hint

I built this model of the Tamiya's 1/35 M-26 Pershing to represent a tank used by the Marines in the summer of 1950 in Korea.

I added two Warriors crew members, dressed for warm weather painting them represent the hot climate. Also added was the side rack so common on USMC tanks by this stage. They were put there for the benefit of the infantry who would run low on ammo so frequently as they encountered the waves of North Koreans in the battles.

Crew equipment has been added to the sides of the tank as well as photo etched metal details from Eduard. Grief lenses were used for the head lights.

It is painted in overall olive drab and has been weathered to portray the harsh climate encountered on the Korean peninsula. All this was thoroughly researched from available pictures to faithfully present this fighting machine of the Korean war!
