Danse Macabre

A Look at the Ghoulish Side of Modeling

Girl Fight

by Mike Wohl

Girl Fight depicts a conflict in a future dystopian world in which two human troopers are surprised by a somewhat female-style robot.

This was really just an attempt to see how many original figures I could incorporate on the base and also making a non-organic form (i.e., the robot) which I at least, found very difficult.

The Visitor

by Mike Wohl

The Visitor was a "Just for fun" project. It is a bust depicting a very 1950's style alien. If painted, it would have to be green.

Killbot

By Bob Caruso

This 54mm Ral Partha figure is one of my favorite Science Fiction pieces.

This interesting figure was Ral Partha's venture into big guys. This kit was started years ago.

The beast was started in Humbrol enamels and I finished it in Andrea Acrylics.

I reworked & rebuilt the electronics part of the beast's head.

The 'bot was painted in Gunze Metallics. The base came with the kit, except for the wood.

Soviet Moon Landing

by Mike Wohl

Soviet moon landing 1960: This and a number of other small space vessels and rockets planes that I have done in polymer clay were inspired by Mat Irvine's excellent book "Creating Space" which covers the history of spacecraft, real and imaginary though plastic, resin and metal models. This is a wonderful book and highly recommended for anyone remotely interested in the subject.
